The Trip Over

I was lucky to be in business class for the 12 hour trip. The seats were not completely flat but pretty close; however I could only sleep for about an hour.

Consistent with the passenger demographics, most of the movie offerings were Chinese. I watched two American movies with Mandarin subtitles, a Chinese movie with English subtitles and a French movie with Mandarin and English subtitles (very confusing).

It was daylight for the full 12 hours but the attendants kept the shades closed and turned on the purple mood lighting. We flew up the coast of Alaska and then over Siberia into China.

I forgot about the whole foot swelling thing and was worried I would have to wear my red China Air slipper off the plane as we started our descent.
